J Lin D Knicks

Jeremy “Super Lintendo” Lin (born August 23, 1988) enjoyed his collegiate career at Harvard University where he graduated in 2010 with a degree in Economics.   He is the first Taiwanese /Chinese American, who is beginning to enjoy a phenomenal NBA career after being undrafted in the 2010 NBA Draft.  Currently, Jeremy is with the New York Knicks.

“Linsanity” is just one of the expressions JLin is titled with because of his “consecutive length of victories” as starting point guard, after scarcely getting any playing time for the Knicks. On February 4, 2012, Jeremy had a break out game when the Knicks defeated the New Jersey Nets in a 99-92 victory. He scored 25 points, 5 rebounds, and 7 assists.

During Jeremy’s senior year at Harvard, he was named to the 2010 Lou Henson All-America Team and named First Team All-League by the Sporting News. He was one of 11 finalists for the Bob Cousy Award and one of 20 finalist for the John R. Wooden Award.  He was the unanimous selection as the All-Ivy League First Team player.  Moreover, Jeremy finished his career at Harvard, as the first player in the history of the Ivy League to record at least 1,450 points (1,483), 450 rebounds (487), 400 assists (406) and 200 steals (225).

In July 2010, Jeremy signed a free agent contract with the Golden State Warriors after attracting the attention of many scouts at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.

During his career at Golden State, Jeremy experienced inconsistent and brief game opportunities.  He was sent to the Warrior’s D-League team, the Reno Bighorns,  three times during the regular NBA season.   However he persevered with the encouraging support from family, huge fan base and with his solid Christian faith.  Jeremy continued to improve and elevate his basketball game.

The Warriors placed Jeremy on NBA waivers December 9, 2011, in order to free up salary cap space for the restricted free agent, DeAndre Jordan.   On December 12th, the Houston Rockets claimed Jeremy off the waiver wires. He played with the Rockets during the 2011 shortened preseason. On December 24th Jeremy was released from the Houston Rockets and placed back on NBA waivers and on December 27, 2011, the New York Knicks claimed Jeremy from the waiver wire.

Jeremy quotes "I’ve surrendered that to God. I'm not in a battle with what everybody else thinks anymore," -  and we're saying at MSG,  keep on playing great basketball "Mighty JLin”
